Introduction of the comic artist
Chi Kit Jeffery Kwong is a full-time comic artist.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, he received education in the United States in his early years and stayed in the United States to work in advertising after graduation.
After returning to Hong Kong in 2008, he devoted himself to teaching and taught at Shantou University and Savannah College of Art and Design Hong Kong for ten years respectively.
In 2020, he co-authored "The Sagas of Kunlun Mountain" with Mai Tin Kit and Luk Wei Cheng, which was well received by local comic fans. His first solo work "The Architect’sEpiphany" was selected into 1st Hang Kong Comic Support Program and won the Silver Award and the Character Design Award.
The sci-fi comic work "Indigo" won the gold award in the 2nd Hong Kong Comic Support Programm in 2023.
Both of Kwong's award-winning works were successfully licensed for French, English and Malay versions.
Kwong is currently adapting the renowned martial arts novel "Fuyu Fanyun", originally written by Wang Yi into a comic book.
Introduction of the characters
Ocean Hacklin, the protagonist of this story, who is the elder grandson of the grand architect Yi-Shan Hacklin. Due to his grandfather's serious illness, he was ordered to assist Ling Tiber and the orphans of Aye-Shan city to find the injured guardian beasts. His grandfather has passed on the secret technique of Cadence to him, but the lacks actual experience has become the hinder of his mission. He is a Humorous, empathetic young man, with a little bit of neuroticism.
The Architect’s Epiphany is an adventure story which happened in a world full of fantastical creatures and magical power. With pride and a sense of vocation, our protagonists valiantly answer their callings and take on a dire mission to seek hope and redemption, in the backdrop of the rise and fall of a civilization.
