Introduction

In 2000, Tanki was contracted as a cartoonist, illustrator, and animation storyboard artist by Da Ran Publishing House in Taiwan. He has published more than 30 volumes of comics. In 2016, he won the Silver Award for Best Picture Book at the China Golden Dragon Award. He was responsible for storyboard work for several domestic animated TV series.

The 2024 work uses a small amount of computer painting to represent the real world where the protagonist lives.
The abandoned world, which accounts for a large proportion of the entire story, is expressed using hand-painted watercolor techniques. The effect of watercolor painting can show some feelings of old Hong Kong in an abandoned world.
Because of hand-painting, the process is more complicated than computer painting, and occasionally mistakes have to be made again. The author hopes to bring out some issues that need to be thought about in life through the bright and humanistic hand-painted effects. If we give up on our dreams, will we feel regret after many years? The naming of the Challenger is to ask us to think about whether we have the courage to ride on the Challenger to face various challenges.
