Kong Bun-keung
KONG Bun-keung, a renowned editor-in-chief of Hong Kong comics, committed to the career of comics in the 1980s under the profound influence of the style of the maestro Tony WONG. He created quite a number of hits in his early days like the Godly Hands, A Man Called Hero, Hong Lang, The Invincible Lord, etc. which were well received by the readers. In 1993, KONG Bun-keung joined the Jade Dynasty Group Limited and established himself with his brilliant drawing skillsets and passion as the editor-in-chief of the company’s first tier comic series like the Legend of Emperors series, Tiger & Dragon Heroes 5 series, Magical Weapons series, etc., firmly consolidating himself as a first class editor-in-chief in comics in Hong Kong.
At the end of 2007, KONG Bun-keung joined James KHOO Fuk-lung and others to establish the Lucky Dragon Comics & Animation Limited and became a core team member of the company. The 8th Copper Man in Shaolin created by him and Yu Er immediately won applauds as well as readership and was regarded as the best comic of the year in Hong Kong then, manifesting his competence and talents in the creation of comics.
In 2013 he joined the Tato Press and worked as the editor-in-chief of A Man Called Hero 2013 and subsequently he also released other works like The Legend of War, etc.
Later he edited another series at the Jade Dynasty Group Limited with some repercussion. He released at the same time the comic Luckycat online as authorised by the Beckoning Cat (Maneki-neko).
